HIGHLIGHTS

A large impeller blower with integrated flywheel ensures good ejection of the chips and a powerful and even through put of the chip drum. By means of interchangeable sieves, available in different mesh sizes, uniform wood chips are generated.

The 400 series have a maximum chipping diameter of 40cm (16") and as all Heizohack chippers are supplied with the Heizohack 'Stress control' system which ensures a quality chip by controlling the in-feed speed of the chipper according to the power of the tractor driving the chipper. 

The large in-feed height of 40cm allows you to process bushes, branches, fence poles, saw mill waste etc., even entire tree trunks into high grade wood chips 

HM 5/6/8-400

The manually fed Heizohack wood chippers can break down all wood waste, such as slats, beams, logs, blocks or branches and trunks with a diameter up to a maximum of 300mm or 400mm. A steel conveyor belt and a pressure roller with welded tongs ensure a powerful and reliable feeding of the material. 

The Heizohack wood chippers are equipped with a low drag drum chip rotor.Thereby flawless operation is also possible with low drive performance and the fuel consumption is reduced.

The drive can take place using a propeller shaft, via an internal combustion engine (HM 6-300 VM) or via an electro-motor (HM 4/6-300 EM, HM 5/6/8-400 EM). 

The hydraulic feed units supply is undertaken via it´s the own on-board hydraulic system. 

An external oil supply is not necessary. The size of the wood chips can be influenced by the individually adjustable feed speed and the easily exchanged sieve. The ejection of long pieces is prevented by the sieve. 

We are able to supply some modifications to the range to allow for cranefeeding the machine. 

The ACP Pressure assist and remote control allow the chipper to be machine fed creating an entry level machine capable of around 5ton per hour (Depending on species, chip grade, horsepower and operator !)

Pressure Assist

ACP Pressure Assist – This is a self contained hydraulically8-400PressureAssist-1
actuated system that allows a pre-set and limited pressure 
to the top feed roller assembley, this makes the in-feed far 
more aggressive and is recommended where difficult forked timber 
and brash, spruce is to be chipped. Control via pushbutton or radio control.

Can I machine feed this chipper?

These chippers are hand fed chippers which are robust enough (with a few modifications) to be machine fed.

What size of tractor do I need?

They require between 130 and 180hp.

Are they easy to maintain?

The sieves and blades are easy to change, the blades cost around £10.00 each.

The 8-400 chipper is capable of chipping around 5t per hour when machine fed.
